Group 4B
Workshop & Seminar

Our group had the valuable opportunity to present at a workshop held on April 21, themed “Innovative Teaching Practices in ELT: Collaboration, Inclusion, and Technology in the AI Era”. During the session, we shared our research entitled “EFL TEACHERS’ PERSPECTIVES ON THE INCLUSION OF LGBTQ+-RELATED TASKS IN TEACHING ENGLISH.” Although the topic may be considered sensitive in certain contexts, we were met with genuine openness and support from the lecturers at ESP. Their willingness to engage with the topic reflected a strong commitment to inclusive educational practices, which is in alignment with the core value of Diversity and Inclusion of FTU.
At the end of the workshop, we had a meaningful conversation with Dr. Luong Thi Phuong Nhi, a lecturer at ESP, who provided thoughtful feedback and encouraged us to further develop the research with the goal of publishing in an international academic journal. This experience exemplifies how ESP lecturers actively uphold FTU’s core values by fostering an environment where Diversity is respected and all students, regardless of background, identity, or personal beliefs, feel included and empowered to pursue meaningful academic inquiry.
